With over 20 years working in the music industry, it’s a pretty good chance you have
worked with Brian or you’d like to. He started his career in Nashville just as Sixpence
None The Richer’s “Kiss Me” played as Laney Boggs walked down those stairs in that
famous glow up scene in 1999’s She’s All That. Temping his way into Word Records as
a customer service rep, he quickly shot up the ranks to A&R and achieving his first career
goal. At the same time he was coming of age himself as an out proud gay man. In 2002,
the Christian Music scene in Nashville wasn’t ready for that and he set his mind west to
LA, no job, no connections, no place to live and hit the pavement. Again temping his way
into the music industry, working at several companies before landing at Warner Music
Group in their Synch dept and therefore achieving his second career goal. From there,
jumping to Bug Music and SonyATV, continuing his passion to pitch music for
Film/TV/Trailers and Commercials. But life had a funny way of changing his course and
found himself in the world of TV Production at Last Call with Carson Daly where his life
was forever changed. He spent 8 seasons, over 760 shows producing live music segments
for the most respected late night show and achieving his unknowingly third career goal.
But all things come to an end when the host is done hosting the show haha. So was on to
the current chapter: BMG. Currently Brian is having the time of his life working the vast
frontline artist roster of the global label and publisher, BMG. And after these 20 years, he
is at the top of his game, working with the most genuine, talented group of co-workers
and artists in his career and couldn’t be happier.
